Statistically significant improvements in memory1
Brain scans showed reduced Default Mode Network connectivity and a lower stress index2
Working memory and calmness improved within hours3
17.8 mg of ginsenosides per serving
Four sachets: about a week of mornings.
- Start with half a sachet each morning. Pour the beads onto your tongue and swallow whole with water, coffee, or tea. Please don’t chew them; they’re meant to go down whole.
- Pairs seamlessly with caffeine. Ginseng Hwan doesn’t replace your morning brew. Take them together: the beads aren’t a stimulant, so they won’t add another spike.
- Build up to a full sachet at your own pace.
A year in the making: whole root, naturally dried.
Most ginseng sold today is red: the root steamed at high temperatures, a practice originally developed to preserve harvest inventory and prevent spoilage. But intense heat alters the root’s delicate chemistry, breaking down its fragile acidic compounds.
We spent 12 months formulating Ginseng Hwan to preserve white ginseng in its original, unsteamed state, the way it has been practiced in Korea for two thousand years. By drying the root naturally and grinding it whole without heat, every serving carries the root’s 17.8 mg of natural ginsenosides, measured by an independent lab. Left unsteamed, the root also keeps its heat-sensitive malonyl ginsenosides, which steaming breaks down.
Four food ingredients. No fillers, no extract powders.
If it isn’t food, it isn’t in the bead.
How Ginseng Hwan works with Vegetable Hwan.
Ginseng Hwan
Sharpens memory, eases stress for the day in front of you.
Vegetable Hwan
Tends your gut microbiome quietly over time.
Take both together with your morning water, coffee, or tea. They don’t overlap. They work together.
Un-extracted biochemistry: how whole root works.
Default Mode Network (DMN)
In a 12-week trial, fMRI scans showed white ginseng reduced functional connectivity in the brain’s Default Mode Network, alongside a lower composite stress index, rather than causing nervous arousal2.
Acute Memory & Calmness
Placebo-controlled human testing showed support for working memory performance within hours, alongside higher ratings of subjective calmness3.
The Adaptogen Framework
Ginsenosides share structural features with signaling molecules your body already makes. Ginseng is classed as an adaptogen: a plant studied for how it helps the body handle stress, rather than for a stimulant push.
Native Malonyl Profile
Malonyl ginsenosides (m-Rb1, m-Rd) are heat-sensitive acidic compounds in the fresh root. Steaming breaks them down, which is why red ginseng and naturally dried white ginseng carry different ginsenoside profiles4.
Microbiome Pathway
Ginsenosides are large, sugar-coated molecules. Microbes in your digestive tract clip these sugars off step by step. Rb1, Rb2, Rc and Rd — 85% of our ginsenosides — convert to Compound K, a more bio-available form5. The conversion runs on your microbiome, one reason timelines differ from person to person6.
Eight Ginsenosides, Not One
Our lab identified eight distinct ginsenosides in the bead: Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, Rf, Rg1, Rg2 and Re. Grinding the whole root carries the full family, not a single standardized marker.
Ginseng’s benefits come from daily use over weeks.
Sample Days (First Mornings)
You may feel it sooner than you expect. Half a sachet is plenty to start; a full one can feel strong before you’re used to it.
Week 4 (Setting the Baseline)
A month in, it’s just part of your morning. Look for full days that feel more level.
Week 8 (The Long View)
If it’s working for you, steadier days stop feeling notable. They’re just your days now.
Everyone’s different; yours may run ahead of this timeline or behind it.
